Christie Handmade Pipes are hand crafted right in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania with world class craftsmanship by Pipemaker Eric E. Christie. Each Christie Handmade Pipe is hand crafted to perfection using a variety of Mediterranean Briar's including their rare Algerian Briar that has been aging since 1940 and another rare Briar find that's been aging since the 1960's. Mr. Christie has handmade his beautiful works of art for nearly four decades for thousands of satisfied customers.
Christie's Custom Blended Pipe Tobaccos are all one hundred percent natural tobaccos. Naturally cured and naturally sweetened and blended with just the right amount of unique tobaccos for an exquisite taste and aroma that will not only make your smoking experience pleasurable for you, but those around you as well.
Christie's lines of premium cigars are Imported Handmade Cigars from countries such as the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Honduras and are all kept in a quality climate controlled atmosphere of 70% humidity at 70 degrees to bring you the freshest premium cigars possible. Pipemaker Eric E. Christie has been hand making pipes for over three decades, learning his trade from one of America's great pipemakers in the 1980's, Richard C. Johnson. Mr. Johnson started making Pipes in 1939 for Weber Pipe Co. in Jersey City, New Jersey, although he eventually left Jersey City for rural Pennsylvania he continued to do specialty work for Weber Pipe Co. from his small farm. In the 1960's. Mr. Johnson opened his own tobacco store, Johnson's Pipe Shop, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania where he made his own line of handmade pipes, Johnson Pipes. This is where Mr. Christie apprenticed and studied under Mr. Johnson for four years in the mid 1980's before returning to his father's tobacco store The House of Pipes, know now as Christie's House of Pipes & Cigars, in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania and started making his own line of quality handmade pipes.
